{pose}lives in Florida with his wife and two children.
A graduate of Stetson University in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Administration, he was also a star player for the Stetson University Basketball Team. He is Stetson's all time leader in assists and holds the record for the most career games played. He is the only player in school history to lead the team in steals and assist three consecutive seasons. He was inducted into the Stetson Basketball Hall of Fame on February 4, 2000.
In his spare time, Franklin spends a great deal of his free time playing hoops, writing songs, coaching, officiating competitive basketball, and conducting motivational speaking for youth and teens throughout the public school system.
He is currently working on his second children's book and spreading the gift of Art in the City. So look out for a new kid's books in the future from author Franklin Ireland entitled "Why I love My Mother", "A Rib-itting Tale of Sort", "Grandma Pie's Pearls" and "Bye Bye Baby".
